Flat sawing (also known as) slab sawing is the most common diamond cutting method. Flat sawing features a diamond blade that is mounted on a walk behind saw requiring one operator.

Flat sawing is generally used to cut horizontal surfaces such as floors, control joints, curb cuts, bridge decks, and pavement. Flat sawing can be performed with a gas, propane or electric (exhaust-free for indoor sawing) unit.

  • Expansion and control joints for streets, parking lots, sidewalks, as well as other concrete surfaces.
  • Cutting reinforced concrete floors.
  • Cutting for demolition and removal.
  • Trenching.
